Introduction

RTRS stands for Agricultural and Food Commodities Exchange on the Polish Power Exchange – Towarowa Giełda Energii S.A. (Exchange, TGE) – operated as part of the Food Platform. It constitutes a separate segment of the TGE Commodity Exchange Market, dedicated to trading in selected agricultural and food products meeting the quality requirements specified by the Exchange and deposited in warehouses authorised by the Exchange.

Trade on RTRS is carried out in the form of a spot market, which means that transactions are executed immediately by transferring the ownership of the goods in exchange for the payment of their price.

The Exchange sets out the principles of participation in the market, the terms and conditions of transactions, and the manner in which transactions are made, which ensures trade based on transparent and uniform conditions for all of its participants.
